Retrain Your Brain - Sleep Better - Naturally
Insomnia Treatment in Sudbury: Somnus SoundSleep™

Insomnia Treatment in Sudbury: Somnus SoundSleep™
Somnus SoundSleep™ combines neurofeedback, biofeedback, CBT-I, and guided sleep retraining to restore the brain’s natural ability to sleep. This is a client centered insomnia treatment program based in Sudbury Ontario, developed by the team at Champaigne & Klassen Psychology Professional Corporation.
Who It’s For?
The program may be right for adults who:
· Lie awake with a busy mind
· Feel wired but exhausted
· Wake frequently during the night
· Want a non-medication approach
The program is non-pharmacological, individually tailored and focused on retraining sleep as a learnable skill. For over 25 years we have helped hundreds of clients improve their sleep.
The program is not a treatment for sleep apnea or other breathing-related sleep disorders. Services are provided on a fee-for-service basis.
Most clients experience:
· Improved sleep efficiency
· Reduced time to fall asleep
· Have fewer awakenings
· Feel more alert and focused during the day

Neurofeedback is brain training for sleep. Your brain can learn to sleep again, with neurofeedback you train your brain to reduce hyperarousal and increase the slower brainwave patterns associated with drowsiness and sleep.
Breathing is a powerful regulator of the nervous system. Each session includes Heart Rate Variability (HRV) biofeedback training to help calm your body quickly and reliably.
Sleep Goals are simple:
· Shift into a calm drowsy state
· Fall asleep within approximately 20 minutes
· Return to sleep efficiently if awakened during the night
· With training clients gain increasing control over these transitions
The Program Structure provides:
· Initial psychologist intake
· 12 training sessions weekly or biweekly
· Sessions are 50-60 minutes
· Mid-program psychologist review
· Final psychologist review
Total: 15 sessions over 4-6 months.
The program is training-based, meaning consistent participation produces the best results.
